DC Comics is perhaps the biggest name in comic books with the most iconic heroes known across the world since 1935. With their 100 year anniversary rapidly approaching

DC Comics decided to launch a 10 year campaign to celebrate their journey from the Golden Age of comics to the groundbreaking Modern Age. To inaugurate their

10 year countdown, my team and I were tasked with creating a promotional video to present at San Diego Comic Con and to premiere on digital. The promotion was set to

highlight the most celebrated issues across their long-spanning history and to memorialize the evolution to modern day storylines.

My goal with the Golden Age promotional video was to showcase the evolution of Golden Age comics to their Modern Day counterparts, with an emphasis on

introductory issues and first time appearances. My approach was to create photo-real renderings of the comic books to emulate the tactile feel and weight of a physical

issue as we flip through the pages and years. Dramatic lighting was used to mark the prestige presentation of these highly revered comics.
