2024 was a great year for the film and tv industry and I was invited to work on an even bigger show for Variety/ET's Golden Globe Red Carpet coverage. We collaborated

with the team at Variety to create a show open and package that played homage to the award nominated shows of the year like Wicked. Our theme was magical, elegant, and

subtle. Muted background colors and atmospheric smoke paved the way for bright swirling colors and lights that highlighted the elegance that has becomes synonymous with the

Golden Globes.


This year the trophy became a major feature of the package. We capitalized on it's swooping features to create a spiral-like effect that became a central motif of our

design. The magical energy and particles were crafted to follow the momentum of the geometry and were created in X-Particles. The smoke was also simulated in the ExplosiaFX

system of X-Particles. In a nod to wicked I modeled and animated a mesmerizing bubble that was built using Cinema 4D's native fields functionality to achieve an organic

pop.
